Bachelorette

At the end of April, we got to surprise bride-to-be Lindsey with a bachelorette weekend away in Upstate New York, in the beautiful lake town of Skaneateles. We went on a wine tour on Seneca Lake, ate some delicious food, and visited some of our old stomping grounds at Syracuse University. Can't wait for the big day!

Party Prep: Dress Up Chuck

Don't get us wrong, we love a good bottle of wine. But for weekly Oh Buoy work nights and parties that last until far after midnight, Two-Buck Chuck is just what we need. While inexpensive (it is actually $2.99 in MA), Trader Joe's supplies a decent bottle. We just don't love the look of the label. Let's be serious...we do judge a book by its cover.

Our solution? The easiest DIY project ever. We head to the craft store to buy some coordinating sheets of scrapbook paper and double stick tape. Write the variety in some fun handwriting, tape the new label right over the old one, and voila...you have a party perfect look which you can match to any theme.

Newport, RI - Bottles, Boats & Blue Skies

We gave you a sneak peek of our Bachelorette trip to Newport here, but wanted to share some more details of the wonderful weekend spent celebrating a very special bride-to-be!

We had an amazing time touring & tasting at Newport Vineyards, and relaxing on the patio with a glass of wine. The perfect day got even better when we boarded the Aquidneck for a sail in Newport Harbor, which provided us with a picturesque view of coastal mansions, a lighthouse, and the Newport Boat Show.

Before leaving town on Sunday morning, we were able to visit Cliff Walk and get a backyard view of The Breakers.

Our home away from home.
