Wanderlust: Stowe Mountain Lodge

The real winter chill is just starting to set in, so we have not yet had our fill of cozy blankets, hot chocolate, and fireside chats. We spent a weekend in Woodstock, Vermont last month, with a quick trip out to Stowe for a delicious dinner. Would love to head back up for a longer stay next time, and the Stowe Mountain Lodge looks like the ideal place to call home for the weekend.

Day Tripper: Gloucester & Rockport

How is it already October? While Summer feels like yesterday, that unmistakeable feel of Fall is in the air. Before we completely transition to Pumpkin Spice everything, we're taking a look back at the end of summer. These photos are from a daytrip up to Gloucester and Rockport. 

The day began with a stop and some sampling at Cape Ann Brewing Company, and ended with a walk down Bearskin Neck in Rockport.

Want It Wednesday - Chilly Pink

Spring is near... at least in theory. But we've yet to see that spring weather appear. So while we may not be able to break out our light weight cottons, we can certainly brighten our wardrobe with bright spring colors. We're looking at you, pink. This always happy, uber feminine hue is sure to punch up any outfit and bring us that much closer to thinking spring (fingers crossed).

Oh Buoy Abodes - Dear Santa...

All we'd like for Christmas this year is this house.

We are very hesitant to post this, because we'd like to keep the competition as limited as possible. But, it's too good not to share. This year's HGTV 2015 Dream Home is truly a dream, located on The Vineyard. The HGTV team nailed every detail - the woodwork, the nautical details - it brings tears to our eyes. Oh Buoy Abodes - Mud Room

This weekend brought some seriously cold, wet, and windy weather to the Northeast. With one look out the window, I immediately started digging around in my closet for my boots, mittens, hats, and winter coat, still packed up from last year. It got me thinking about a great space to store my plethora of winter necessities throughout the cold seasons. 

A house in New England just isn't complete without a good mud room, especially in the winter. And just because it's called a mud room, does not mean it has to be dirty and messy. Here's some inspiration from some beautifully functional spaces.
