Wanderlust: Stowe Mountain Lodge

The real winter chill is just starting to set in, so we have not yet had our fill of cozy blankets, hot chocolate, and fireside chats. We spent a weekend in Woodstock, Vermont last month, with a quick trip out to Stowe for a delicious dinner. Would love to head back up for a longer stay next time, and the Stowe Mountain Lodge looks like the ideal place to call home for the weekend.

Wanderlust: Round Hill Hotel - Montego Bay, Jamaica

Next up on the list of places-we-are-dying-to-stay is Round Hill Resort in Jamaica. According to Conde Nast, "This resort virtually invented tropical seaside gentility when it opened in 1953 to guests like the Kennedys, the Paleys, and various viscounts. Who knows? You might even bump into Ralph Lauren [who owns property at the resort] at the pool bar..."
The striped awnings are pure perfection. As is the view of the ocean through the front door...
Adore the checkerboard floor paired with simple white paint & furnishings.

The gents can come with us too, and we see them spending a lot of time in this room...
The crisp whites and blues are calling our names.

Wanderlust: Palazzo Avino

This one has it all. Gorgeous setting with picturesque views, historic architecture, delicious dining...can we please have 2 tickets to the Amalfi Coast, stat?
The Palazzo Avino opened in 1997, renovated from a 12th Century private villa owned by Italian nobility, perched on a cliff overlooking a historic fishing town and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea.

The rooms are decorated with 18th Century antiques, and magnificent views.
Can you believe that, for centuries, this was a home??
Pure bliss.
Would have no trouble relaxing in the beautifully tiled spa...
The Solarium. Could lounge here all day long.

Wanderlust: Jade Mountain in St. Lucia

When you walk to work / the train every morning, the cold gets old real fast. While we still have a few more months left to hunker down and keep warm, we're dreaming of warm sunshine and tropical locations. Hadn't heard of this resort before, but it looks unreal.
It's like a giant, mountain-side tree house!

Can I wake up to this view tomorrow, please?

There are countless floors, bridges, and pools just waiting to be explored.

You know that you can expect beautiful weather when the designer chooses to forego building a roof...
Pure paradise.
